Objective

My T, a Cape Town-based start-up selling premium quality CBD tea, approached X Digital for a complete website overhaul. Their existing website featured a basic design that lacked the minimalistic, modern aesthetic they wanted to embody. It also failed to position them as a premium brand. As an ecommerce business, they needed a website that not only reflected their quality but also provided a secure and seamless checkout experience with delivery options across South Africa.

Strategy

To reposition My T as a premium brand and enhance the customer experience, X Digital proposed a full website redesign focused on minimalism, clarity and functionality.

Key improvements included:

· Enhanced Homepage Design: Featuring product listings at the top of the page for immediate visibility, reducing the need for customers to scroll.

· Prominent Delivery Messaging: Clear communication of their nationwide delivery service, adding perceived value and encouraging more purchases.

· Courier Integration: Seamless integration with The Courier Guy to automatically process delivery orders upon checkout.

· Conversion-Boosting Features: Implementation of a 10% first-purchase coupon prominently displayed during checkout to help drive quick conversions.

· Content Strategy: Addition of a blog section featuring recipe ideas and lifestyle content, providing ongoing SEO benefits and added value for customers.

· SEO Optimization: Full website optimization to improve search rankings, user experience, and organic traffic.

The new website design has been successfully launched.

Digital Marketing

Objective

When My T partnered with X Digital, they had no established online presence. The goal was to set up and manage My T’s Facebook and Instagram profiles to reflect their premium range of CBD Rooibos Tea, connect with a South African audience, expand brand awareness, and generate meaningful engagement across social platforms.

Given that CBD products often face advertising restrictions, Meta’s systems initially flagged My T’s ads as promoting illegal products — despite CBD being legal in South Africa. X Digital was tasked with overcoming these advertising barriers to ensure the brand could still reach new audiences, drive website traffic, and boost sales.
